Tom Adlam is team leader of the IMPACT Programme at the UK government's Department for International Development.
With 30 years’ experience in commercial, impact and DFI investment, Tom has an intimate understanding of the investment processes, financial requirements, social mandates and reporting practices of impact funds and their investors. From 2005 to 2016, Tom founded, established and grew African Agricultural Capital (AAC) with investment from Rockefeller and Gatsby, before launching the impact investment Fund Manager Pearl Capital Partners, and successfully raising two more impact funds focused on the agriculture sector in Africa. Thereafter, from 2017, Tom led the establishment of AgDevCo’s investment programme in Rwanda, before joining the DFID IMPACT Programme in May 2019.
